If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years as a photographer, it’s that a great photo session starts long before we press the shutter button.
And no, I’m not talking about spending three hours putting together a mood board worthy of a Vogue production.
I’m talking about arriving at the studio and knowing:
What am I going to photograph?
In what order?
What lighting am I going to use?
Which background comes next?
And what’s the next pose when the one I had planned… simply doesn’t work?
It was exactly these small but significant day-to-day challenges that made me create My Pose Flow.
An app that helps you organise your poses, prepare your sessions and take your workflow with you.
So, what exactly is My Pose Flow?
Think of My Pose Flow as your visual session guide.
You have a library of poses organised into categories, and you can also create your own collections using the images you want to work with.
For example, let’s say you have a maternity session coming up.
Instead of arriving at the studio, opening Pinterest, starting to search for images and, 15 minutes later, having no idea whether you’re preparing for a photo session or conducting anthropological research into maternity poses…
…you prepare everything beforehand. 😅
You choose the poses.
You create a collection.
Then you organise the sequence.
Simple.

.
And you can organise the poses in any order you want
This is one of my favourite features.
Inside each collection, you decide the order of the images.
And that means you can organise them not just by pose, but according to the real workflow of your session.
Imagine you have:
White background + a specific lighting setup
You shoot all the poses that work with that setup.
Then you move on to:
Black background + a different lighting setup
And continue the session.
That way, instead of constantly jumping between backgrounds, lighting setups and poses, you can build a logical sequence.
Less studio gymnastics.
More photography.
What if the poses are your own?
Even better.
Because we all have those photos that make us think:
“This pose works every single time.”
Or:
“I need to remember this one for the next session.”
Now you can simply add your own images to My Pose Flow.
You can place them inside the relevant categories and decide whether you want them to be:
🔒 Private, so they’re just for you.
🌍 Public, so you can share them with all the app’s subscribers.
Little by little, you can build your own personal pose library inside the app.
And when you share your images, you’re also contributing to a library that may help other photographers.
The idea is simple: don’t start from scratch every time
Because let’s be honest.
You don’t need to come up with a revolutionary idea for every single session.
If a sequence worked beautifully last week, why not use it again?
If you have a particular combination of lighting + background + poses that you know works, save it.
If there’s a session structure you’d like to repeat, you already have the foundation ready.
My Pose Flow allows you to create these collections and organise them in your own way.
The app adapts to your workflow. You don’t have to adapt your workflow to the app.
And during the session?
This is where things start getting really interesting.
You have your collection ready, and you can check it while you’re shooting.
The image is right there.
You know what comes next.
There’s no need to dig through your camera roll, open folders on your computer or search for that screenshot buried somewhere on your phone.
And there’s another important advantage.
Your client can also see that there’s a plan.
When you have a sequence prepared, you naturally project more confidence.
That doesn’t mean you have to photograph everything religiously in the exact order you planned.
If a better idea comes up, follow it.
If your client suddenly strikes a fantastic spontaneous pose, go with it.
If the baby decides that today is officially the day to protest against photography, improvise. 😂
The goal isn’t to make your session rigid.
It’s to have a structure that allows you to improvise without losing your way.
Poses, yes. But business too.
As you might expect, My Pose Flow also includes a section dedicated to the business side of photography.

Inside the app, you’ll find short audio content with tips related to managing and growing your photography business.
Short episodes you can listen to while driving, preparing the studio, organising your equipment or simply whenever you have 10 minutes to spare.
Because one thing is being a great photographer.
Another is turning your photography into a sustainable business.
And you need both.
Who did I create this app for?
Mainly for studio photographers who want more organisation and flow in their sessions.
If you’re just starting out, you’ll have a library of references that can help you structure your sessions.
If you’ve been photographing for years, you can start turning everything you’ve learned along the way into your own personal library.
And if you have images you’d like to share with other photographers, you can contribute too.
At the end of the day, you can use My Pose Flow in a very simple way, or turn it into a completely personalised tool that fits your own photography style.
Now there’s only one thing left: try it.
My Pose Flow is now available for iPhone, iPad and Android.
📱 Install the app.
👀 Explore the categories.
⭐ Create your first collection.
📸 Add some of your own images.
🔀 Organise them in the order you’d like to photograph them.
And in your next session, instead of thinking “Okay… what do I do now?”, you can simply look at your Pose Flow and keep going.
Because a well-prepared session doesn’t mean a session without improvisation.
It means having more room to improvise when it actually matters.
